How Gathered Ink works

Real stories from the people who know them. One written portrait.

Gathered Ink gives friends, family, and colleagues a thoughtful way to share the moments only they remember. Their separate voices come together in a written keepsake for the host.

Create a portrait

Four simple parts

1. Create a collection

The host names the person or people, chooses the occasion, and decides who to invite.

2. Share it

Invite contributors directly or use one shareable link or QR code. Contributors do not need an account.

3. Gather the stories

Each contributor has a guided conversation with thoughtful follow-up questions, sharing in their own words and at their own pace.

4. Receive the portrait

The memories come together in one written portrait. The host receives it by email and can review and edit it before sharing or turning it into a keepsake.

Why stories work better than signatures

A card usually asks everyone to fit what they mean into a few lines. Gathered Ink asks for moments instead: the night someone showed up, the phrase everyone remembers, the small habit that reveals a whole character. One person rarely knows every story. A group can show the fuller picture.
