Life tribute portraits
Gather the stories that show who someone really was
A life is held in details no single person knows: a phrase repeated for decades, a quiet act of care, the version of someone known at work or in childhood. Gathered Ink gives people a gentle way to share those memories and brings them together for the people who loved them.
Who can contribute
Family, old friends, neighbors, former colleagues, members of a faith or community group, and anyone whose relationship reveals another part of the person can contribute. People who cannot attend a gathering still have a place to share.
The memories that make a tribute feel true
The strongest contributions begin with one real moment. Useful starting points include:
- A habit or expression everyone can still hear
- A moment when they made someone feel understood
- A story from a part of their life the family may not know
- The ordinary detail that became unforgettable
More than a collection of signatures
A sympathy card can offer comfort, but it rarely has room for a full story. The portrait preserves the stories themselves and lets patterns emerge across the people who knew them in different ways.
How it works
Choose Life Tribute and name the person or people the portrait is for.
Invite people directly or send one shareable link. Contributors do not need an account.
Each person answers thoughtful prompts in their own words and at their own pace.
The host receives one written portrait shaped by the memories everyone shared.
