Retirement portraits
A retirement tribute built from the stories behind the career
A career is more than a title and number of years. It is the meeting someone steadied, the new employee they quietly helped, the running joke, the standards they set, and the people whose work changed because they were there.
Who can contribute
Bring in current teammates, former coworkers, managers, direct reports, clients or partners where appropriate, plus friends and family who know what the work meant outside the office.
Look beyond congratulations
The strongest contributions begin with one real moment. Useful starting points include:
- A moment that shows how they worked under pressure
- Something they taught that still shapes the team
- A tradition, phrase, or joke colleagues will keep repeating
- The impact of their work that may never appear on a résumé
More than a collection of signatures
A retirement card tends to collect many versions of “congratulations.” Gathered Ink asks for specific moments, then weaves the strongest details into one portrait that can be read at a celebration or kept afterward.
How it works
Choose Retirement and name the person or people the portrait is for.
Invite people directly or send one shareable link. Contributors do not need an account.
Each person answers thoughtful prompts in their own words and at their own pace.
The host receives one written portrait shaped by the memories everyone shared.
